Wheat Story
Wheat is a member of the grass family. It produces a one-seeded fruit called a kernel that can be ground into flour. Today, wheat is grown in more land area than any other crop in the world. It is the third crop (After Maize and Rice) which has supplied the calories needed by around 10 billion of the world population.
The story of wheat began thousands of years ago in the modern day Iraq as per the National Association of Wheat Growers. Between 3,000 and 5,000 years ago, Egyptians became the first people to build ovens and bake loaves of bread.
